Changing definition "Rules of Sex"
29/01/23

In the process of describing the "Rules of Sex", their promotion on social platforms and communication about the "Rules of Sex", user reviews appeared. Thanks to them, there was an understanding that the word "rules" in itself causes the wrong association, it is different from what I want to convey. This is my fault as I am not an original English speaker.

From what I've been able to understand, the word "rules" refers to social norms. But when I talk about the "Rules of Sex", we are not talking about social norms at all.

We consider sex as a biological phenomenon, one of the three basic human instincts. And what I want to describe under the "Rules of Sex" refers exclusively to physiology.

I tried to find a better term for such a description. I took "Laws of Nature" and "Newton's Law of Gravity" as a basis and thought that "Laws of Sex" would be more suitable for sex.

Since English is far from my native language, I would like to ask native English speakers how you perceive the concept of "Laws of Sex"? Does such a concept reflect the idea that I want to describe? If this concept does not fit in your opinion, then please suggest your own.

For now I decided to change the word "Rules" to "Laws" of Sex.
