Over and over I see different opinions about "Foot Fetish/Fetishism". I am going to focus on the male attraction to female feet, but I know this goes in other directions as well.

I feel like there is a major misunderstanding about men that are attracted to female feet. Maybe it's understood more in this age, but in my past experience (High School 1987-1991) it was frowned upon and even made fun of. Over time, I see more acceptance for it, but little understanding of it. Many people as "why is there an attraction at all?"

I understand both sides to this. The foot is generally a stinky and not clean part of the body. It's usually not very well kept, like nails, fungus, etc. So I feel like the main stigma about foot fetish is built on that alone.

In reality there are varying level of foot fetism. Some just notice the female foot in passing, some seem to only be able to get an orgasm by deeply imbedding themselves in feet, in numerous ways. But I believe the fundamentals of it are nearly the same. Most men don't take the time to look closely at their desires to understand them. It's based on the biological craving of "soft" and "curves" on a female body. The foot contains both of those in close proximity. Also a barefoot woman invokes a feeling of relaxation and that she is feeling safe and comfortable. These are things that men want to feel from their women.

It's been exciting to see that when I present this to a girl during sex, she initially pulls away and has hesitations. But all along I have often wondered if the generally consensus among females is they suspect their feet do attract male attention. My feelings on this come from example because of the industry of pedicures. Also it seems that women who are attempting to get attention, wear open shoes, even heels, knowing the affect on men. But they all act surprised about a man being attracted to feet. Do they (females) secretly really know?

I think that women are aware that legs are the object of male attraction. But, I think few people understand why (both women and men) - you just talked about this.

I have a natural idea of the reason for the attraction to the legs (I mean only long, straight and strong legs). A woman with such legs is able to run away from danger if her man is not around at the moment.

But the reason for the attraction to the feet is still not clearly understood to me. Your idea of a "biological attraction to the softness and curve of the female body" seems plausible.

Use of legs and feet during sex. I understand the idea of massaging, stroking, tickling the legs and feet. I see it this way: the legs carry a lot of load and touching the legs and feet allows them to relax. While the body is relaxing, it is easier for the brain to accept the state of sex. Sex with a massage of the legs / feet, in my opinion, will be more immersive and, accordingly, better.

But as far as using the feet as a means of masturbating the penis, I still don't understand. We did some custom foot fetish videos - neither me nor Alex enjoyed it. I think this use of legs is a form of solving some social problems that have arisen due to lifestyle.

Using the foot directly to massage the penis is part of a heavy interest in foot fetishism. I know there are many extremes.

My own experience with it is more of an erotic touch, like massaging the leg and foot while having sex (along with the rest of her body), as in making contact with the pleasure sensors in a woman's body. My overall goal here is to present the viewpoint so it can be understood. Although it is not for everyone, I kind of wonder if this is a topic that many keep silent about, because it is looked at very skeptically by the general public.

I think that in this perception, the use of the feet is logical.

However, in the cases that I have encountered on porn sites, it looks somehow strange - just jerk off a dick with her feet and cum on her feet. What's the point? At what point in this act is a woman "supposed" to enjoy?

I want to add, that this experience may be different if you were having sex with someone who had a foot "interest" and slowly worked it into the sex routine.

The psychological side of my thinking on this knows and understands a females desire to do things to please her partner. If the partner isn't sure of the act causing pleasure, it may not really work. Contrary to if you had sex with someone who knew it was his pleasure, it may please the female because she knows it is making him very pleased.
